A note on eligibility for Financial Sector Development Fund
A note on eligibility for 70% funding in respect of Financial
Sector Manpower Conversion Scheme (FSMCS)
To benefit from The Monetary Authority
of Singapore’s FSMCS grant of 70% of course fees, you are expected to be newly
deployed or to be deployed in the area of Settlement Operation or Middle
Office. Please note that funding
is on a reimbursement basis conditional on the candidate's passing of the
Certification Examination.
In addition, if you are applying this
course as an individual, you have to meet the following conditions:
Place-and-Train - Independents are required to be first
selected and recruited by Financial Institutions, before they are sent for
conversion training. Independents who are offered employment and sent for
conversion training before they start working with their employers would also
qualify for FSDF co-funding.
Reimbursement of Funding Upon
Placement -
Independents who are not recruited at the time of course commencement can
choose to fully fund themselves for the programmes, if they are still keen to
pursue a career in the conversion area. They would however, qualify for FSDF
co-funding and disbursement only if they find employment in the conversion area
within a year upon graduation from the conversion course, ie SOTC or MOTC.
