ACI Singapore Charity Golf 2008 - 25th July @ Tanah Merah Country Club We also can never thank our kind sponsors enough as they have unflinchingly stepped forward to help the less unfortunate in spite of the challenging environment in the financial markets. At a time when some of us find it difficult to make ends meet because of the ever rising cost of living, it is heartening that our members, their employers and our friends find within them the compassion to do the magnanimous act of lending a helping hand. ACI Charity Golf 08 has chosen four charities as our beneficiaries namely, St Andrew's Mission Hospital, Quality of Life Fund(run by the Community Development Council), Down Syndrome Association and Care Community Services Society. There were two different sets of golfers on that day. One who was greeted with the best weather you can get for golfing in Singapore and the other had their game delayed by intermittent rain but they had their fill of drinks during the rain delay! Nonetheless, we sincerely hope everyone had a good round of golf in a world class course. Last but not least, from the laughter and boisterous mood during the gala dinner, I gather that food, drinks, lucky dip, Deal or Not Deal game and live band must have been working their magic and making the evening a joyous one.
